National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) is hosting the third annual Teen Distracted Driving Summit in Washington, DC. This will be an opportunity to review new resources and research and develop a new team of youth leaders working around the country to address teen distracted driving.

Attendees have an opportunity to attend, exhibit, host workshops and network with hundreds of industry leaders that are working to address distracted driving on the local, state, and national levels. Be a part of this nationwide effort to work with youth to support distracted driving prevention efforts and help save the lives of youth on the roads!

Youth teams will be selected from around the country through an application process to attend the 2012 Teen Distracted Driving Prevention Summit and lead year-long efforts in their community.  After the Summit, they will develop, implement, and support distracted driving prevention efforts in their local communities and host a Teen Distracted Driving Prevention Summit in their state.

Do you know some great youth who would like to apply to be a part of the Summit?  Deadline for application is October 1, 2012.  For more information, visit www.noys.org.

National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS)

The National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) is a coalition of over 60 national organizations, federal agencies, and business and industry leaders that is strategically situated to provide leadership and vision to address youth health and safety issues through youth engagement and youth empowered leadership.  Through this network, NOYS influences more than 80 million youth and adults. The mission of NOYS is to promote youth empowerment and leadership, and build partnerships that save lives, prevent injuries, and enhance safe and healthy lifestyles among all youth. Due to the fact that motor vehicle crashes are the largest youth health and safety concern for teens, NOYS has made youth traffic safety a priority of the coalition and focuses its efforts year-round to address youth traffic safety issues.
